"Rediseña" is an initiative by Montevideo Shopping with the main goal of promoting recycling in fashion, both textile and product-wise, using design as a core value. The project involves design students from the country's most prestigious universities and shopping brands that provide waste from their production. Students compete for an award for the best-designed piece, taking into account its innovation and sustainable character.
The Uruguayan artist Octavio Podestá was the creative inspiration for this edition. In this project, the spotlight was on the students themselves — they became the faces of the campaign.
